The lively town of Sant Carlos de la Rapita, or in its native Catalan Sant Carles de la Rapita is situated in the comarcas of Montsia on the Costa Dorada, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain.  Situated on the coast near the mouth of a lagoon, Sant Carlos de la Rapita is also a chief fishing port in the region and as such seafood lovers will be heaven here. The restaurants are brimming with the delicious, fresh catch of the day. The town is said to be the gastronomical capital of the Terres de l’Ebre region.

The fishing town of Sant Carles de la Rapita has been an important tourist destination for many years, because of its privileged location at the edge of the Delta de l’Ebre, by the sea, set against a backdrop of mountains.
